I have thought about the past year of what exactly do I have to be thankful for, and I always come up with this answer… I am saved. I have a God who loved me so much, that He wanted me to be with Him forever. It’s so hard to understand how the God of the universe, the God of all creation, could love a sinner, or even want to have fellowship with such a one. What’s even harder to understand is why would He want to send His only begotten son to redeem me? Why would Jesus volunteer to take my punishment for my sins? Why would He count it joy to suffer and endure the cross? Why would He give the Comforter to dwell in me, to teach me the things of God? Why?
As I think of Thanksgiving, I think of the cross, and all I have in Christ; and I say thank you Heavenly Father, and thank you Jesus for loving me so.

1. God the Father - For creating me,
for giving me a husband, a home and children.
2. God the Son – For giving His life for me,
for proving just how much God loves me,
for saving my soul, for building me a home in Heaven.
3. God the Holy Spirit – For teaching me
and bringing all things to my remembrance
from God’s Holy word; for being my Comforter.
I am thankful for these three, very important reasons:
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
