When I woke up this morning
I looked into the mirror
Remembering our last good-bye
I wiped a lonely tear.
A lifetime it was meant to be,
But now you've gone away.
Treasured thoughts are memories
Arising every day.
Echoing the love we shared
Blissful moments by the shore;
Knowing that you really cared
I long for you once more.
Embracing you within my heart
Visions where you use to be;
Taunting desires to impart
Captivating our destiny.

A Sad Day
It's very sad when couples break up and find themselves
on different shores. It not only breaks their heart, but their children's, family members, and also God's. It hurts deep within a person's soul to feel like they have failed. But God, who is so loving and full of compassion is a merciful and forgiving God. He wants us to have an abundant life, full of peace and joy even in the mist of trials. He has made a way for everyone to be forgiven, for us to be free of the sins that so beset each one of us. Does your heart cry out to God? Are there things in your past that haunt you from having a joyous life? I know there were in mine. I came from a broken home where there were many scars from past hurts and pains that we sometimes don't want to deal with. I also came from a marriage that was not edifying to each other as husband and wife. Drinking, spending money foolishly, swearing, and running around. And where were the children? Right in the middle, growing up and watching mom and dad.
The Bible says: "But as many as received him, (referring to Jesus) to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
Everyone on earth is part of God's creation, yet everyone is not a son (or child) of God. That right belongs only to those who have accepted what Jesus did for them, when He laid down His life and shed His blood on the cross.
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." (forgiveness) Hebrews 9:22
Wherefore he (Christ) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)
Whatever past regrets, whatever heartache, whatever thought, word or deed you have done, remember, it has been washed by the blood of the Lamb. It has been forgiven, "IT IS FINISHED!" There is nothing you can do, except call on the name of the Lord. We cannot earn, work or pay our way into Heaven. It is a personal decision, a personal relationship of who we are and who we become strictly on the bases of the finished work of Christ. "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:4,5,8 and 9)
Look to the cross for redemption.
Look to the cross for forgiveness.
Look to the cross for mercy.
Look to the cross and believe.
Look to the cross and receive.
Pray this prayer: Dear Lord, I realize as your word says, There is none righteousness, no not one, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. I look to the cross and the forgiveness that was paid for me, when Jesus died and shed His blood for my sins. I believe you rose from the grave, and I now ask you Lord, to come into my heart and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank you for forgiving me and placing me in right fellowship with the Father. Help me to be faithful in the things of God and teach me how to live according to your word. For I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
