Rejoice

Rejoice, it’s Christmas! And time for girls and boys,

to realize that Christmas just isn’t getting toys.

Santa seems like a real nice guy

but he is not the reason why.

Rudolf has a funny red nose

and when you look it even glows.

Daddy brings home money galore

and momma likes to run to the store.

All the malls are lit with glee

and momma has a shopping spree.

Christmas trees and their glittering lights

sparkle brightly through the night.

It’s hard to sleep on Christmas Eve

knowing there's gifts for you and me.

Rejoice, it’s Christmas! And time for girls and boys,

to realize that Christmas just isn’t getting toys.

Giving was when it all began

when God sent forth His Son to man.

A babe was born in a manger stall

a heavenly gift from God to all.

Jesus came forth to show the way

when He was born that glorious day.

Love was the only reason why

that He was sent for you and I.

A star shown over Bethlehem

leading wise men from Jerusalem.

A place the young child Jesus lay

rejoicing they worshiped Him that day.

Rejoice, it’s Christmas! And time for girls and boys,

Bearing gifts worthy of a King

gold, frankincense, and myrrh they bring.

Symbolizing Christ’s deity, purity and death

thereafter warned, the wise men left.

JESUS, the name that’s above all names

and one day from His throne He’ll reign.

All will bow down and worship Him

He saved his people from their sins

Rejoice, it’s Christmas! Rejoice ever more

a perfect gift’s been given from Heaven’s door.

Upon His shoulder the government shall be

and He will rule forever, throughout eternity!
